Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is packet pick up?

Packet Pick-up: Packet pick-up will be from 3 pm - 8 pm Friday, September 8th and 6:45 am - 7:45 am Saturday, September 9th at the Harper Cancer Institute located at the corner of Notre Dame Ave and Angela Blvd adjacent to Eddy Street Commons.

When does the race start and are there prizes?

Race Start Times: 10k-8:00 a.m., 5K-8:00 a.m. EST

Awards: Age Group awards, overall male and female, overall male and female masters

Can I run with a baby jogger or other stroller?

No! For the safety of fellow runners - no strollers, no bikes or rollerblades are allowed.

Can I bring my dog?

For the safety of others and your pooch, no dogs allowed at the race.

What is the minimum age to participate?

With written permission from a parent or guardian, capable children 7 and older can participate.

If I want to run with my child do I have to pay?

Yes, everyone MUST be registered.

Can I switch events?

Yes, as long as you let us know ahead of time. Also, you will not be reimbursed for the price difference if you switch to the 5K.

Can I register on race day?

Yes, we offer registration from 6:00 a.m.-7:45 a.m. race day (subject to change). An additional $10 fee will be charged for race day registration. Cash or check only please!

What time does the race end?

Because it is a game day, the course will close at 9:00 a.m. and all participants and spectators must be finished or leave the course at this time.

Do I get a t-shirt?

Yes, a nice tech shirt! But, Race t-shirts are only guaranteed to first 1,000 pre-registered runners.

Can my friend pick up my packet?

Yes.

Do I get a finisher medal?

The top 3 finishers in each age group will be recognized, but there is not a finisher medal.

I can’t make it to the Game Day Chase, can I get a refund?

Absolutely no refunds for any reason. No refunds if the race is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather).

Is there post race food?

Yes! Thanks to our sponsors we will have a variety of food and water for you to enjoy.

Where can I see results?

See TH Timing and results will also be posted on our website.

Can I use an iPod or similar headset?

According to the RRCA we strongly discourage the use of electronic devices in a road race. Please be aware of your surroundings, obey all traffic intersections, and listen for volunteers on the course.

Where does the money from the race go?

First, it covers operating costs, and then the proceeds will benefit the Kelly Cares Foundation.

Can I get involved with the Race if I can’t run?

Absolutely! We need dozens of volunteers to make the race happen. There are spots to volunteer on your own or as part of a service group. Everyone gets a t-shirt, other fun perks, and the glory of being a volunteer hero! Please e-mail gamedaychase@gmail.com for more information.

Volunteer Check-In:

Volunteers should check in with the Game Day Chase Committee at the Old National Bank across from Brother's at Eddy St Commons for their volunteer shifts on Friday and/or Saturday. Thank you to Fleet Feet Mishawaka for sponsoring our volunteer t-shirt!

What time does the course close?

Due to the football game, the course will close at 9:30 a.m.
